Addie Grace's First Words

Brian and I were just sitting here watching the basketball game when we heard Addie jabbering. When she said something that sounded a lot like "dada". So we started repeating it back to her and she said it two more times. So we are counting this as her first words. Daddy is glowing with pride. I think that she is the first one to say dada before mama. What an exciting milestone.

My Little Baby

Well today is Kaitie Rose's 4th Birthday. I can't believe how fast the years have gone. It seems like just yesterday we were wondering if we would ever hold a baby of our own and now we have three wonderful girls. Katie is such a blessing to our family. She is a little mommy and I find myself relying on her as if she is more like 14 than 4. We pray that she will grow up to be a wonderful, godly, young lady that will serve her Savior more than man. We wait with anxious anticipation to see how God will use her in His plan. Please pray for us as we seek to do His will as parents. I think that it's the toughest job in the world.

Say What?!?!?!?!?!

For easter we got the girls a turtle and a crab that when you put in water for three days it grows to 600% the originl size. Well they are their new favorite toys. On Sunday they were in their rooms playing and Emma comes out of her room and says "Katie just scared the crab out of me!"

Brian and I looked at each other and said......what did you say...... you see when emma says crab it sounds like another word sometimes used in that same way! Once we figured out what she said we laughed the rest of the night!

Kids say the darnedest things:)

It's almost here!!

My baby brother is almost a mean and tough fighting machine! I can hardly wait to see him. Brian already thinks that he is going to cry when he sees David. There is a bond that is shared when you go threw the toughest training in the world. They will be "Brothers" now and not just brothers-in-law! They are both busy trying to decided which tatoo to get. Oh brother! I guess it's part of that male bonding thingy. Well today starts the last part of the training. And it will be tough. They won't ask them to do anything that their bodies can't do, but their minds will be stretched. It's all preparing them for what they may face in the future. I am sure that David will do just fine. I think that he will surprise himself and I am sure that he is surprising Mom. I can't imagine what it must be like to see your child go threw such a transition. Emma has been calling herself David all morning and if you call her Emma she won't respond. She says" no...I'm unkey David." I think that they miss him. Well we will all see him soon!! Can't wait.
